Humanities Teacher (SEN/SEMH)


Dovecote School | Rural Somerset | Permanent | Full-time

Dovecote School is an Ofsted-registered independent special school for pupils aged 5–18 with autism and associated needs and social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We are seeking a Humanities Teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils’ wellbeing, relationships, and personal development.

The role:

 You will deliver inclusive, trauma-informed Humanities lessons in a safe and supportive environment, adapting content to meet individual needs and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistency and safeguarding.

We’re looking for someone who:

·        Is a qualified teacher (or has significant tutoring/teaching experience)

·        Has a calm, reflective, and inclusive approach

·        Can deliver sensitive topics with confidence and care

·        Is committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

·        SEN/SEMH experience is welcome but not essential
