Your Role

Teacher, Alphington Primary School

Fixed term until 31st August 2027

Some moments in teaching stay with you forever.

A child proudly writing their name for the very first time.

The excitement of discovering something new.

The quiet confidence that grows when a child realises, “I can do this.”

At Alphington Primary School, we believe these moments matter. They are the building blocks of confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.

We are seeking a committed and inspiring primary teacher who holds high expectations for every child’s learning and behaviour. You will foster a nurturing, supportive classroom where pupils feel safe, respected and encouraged to thrive academically and personally.

You will work as part of our primary team, supported by experienced leaders in a school committed to high‑quality teaching and learning. Our approach promotes purposeful, engaging activities and carefully planned opportunities that allow every child to grow and succeed.

This role is based in either KS1 or KS2 depending on the experiences of the successful candidate.

We are looking for someone who will:

· Deliver high-quality teaching so every child can thrive in school and beyond

· Have high expectations for children’s learning, behaviour and wellbeing

· Work closely with team and senior leaders to maintain a vibrant and inspiring environment

· Build strong, supportive relationships with children and their families

· Contribute to our collaborative approach to curriculum, assessment and continuous provision

· Bring energy, warmth and commitment to the wider life of the school

· Be reflective, organised and committed to professional growth

Whether you are an Early Career Teacher or an experienced practitioner, we encourage you to apply if you have a strong grasp of primary teaching approaches and how to help children make excellent progress.

In return, we offer:

· Children who are curious, kind and eager to learn

· A supportive and dedicated staff team who care deeply about our pupils and each other

· A collaborative and forward-thinking school community

· Opportunities for professional development and career progression

· The chance to make a meaningful difference to children at the very beginning of their educational journey

For more information, please contact hr@elatschools.com or to arrange a visit to the school please contact on 01392 254291.

Closing date: 30th April 2026
