Your Role

The Directors of Exceed Learning Partnership and Governors of Hall Cross Academy are looking to appoint an exceptional, visionary, and high-impact Senior Vice Principal to play a critical role in its leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to join an academy deeply committed to its inclusive culture, broad curriculum, and mission of "Enjoying Excellence Every Day".

The successful candidate will work directly alongside the Principal and current Senior Leadership Team to drive whole-school improvement, ensure outstanding student outcomes, and champion the academy's core values of Community, Achievement, Respect, and Equality.

Key Areas of Leadership

This high-profile position requires an experienced and strategically-minded leader with a proven track record of making a significant difference. The specific portfolio will be determined based on the successful candidate's strengths and the needs of the academy, but will include strategic responsibility for key aspects of the Academy Development Plan.

Core leadership duties are expected to include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Leadership: Contributing to the strategic direction of the academy, translating local and national policy into the academy's context, and demonstrating astute leadership within the Multi Academy Trust framework.
  • Quality Assurance & Improvement: Leading on a substantial whole-school development area—such as Quality of Teaching and Learning, Student Experience and Pastoral Care, or Standards and Progress—ensuring consistency, high quality, and positive impact across all key stages (KS3, KS4, and Sixth Form).
  • Culture & Ethos: Providing a significant presence around the academy, ensuring a safe, calm, nurturing, and well-ordered environment, and leading on the development and promotion of high standards of behaviour and safeguarding.
  • People Development: Leading and managing key members of the leadership team, overseeing staff performance management, and coordinating high-quality Continuing Professional Development.

Candidate Requirements

You will be an inspiring and influential senior leader who:

  • Holds and articulates clear values and moral purpose focused on world-class education for all students.
  • Has extensive knowledge of how effective curriculum design, accurate assessment, and outstanding teaching contribute to excellent student progress and outcomes.
  • Is an exceptional communicator, able to build a culture of trust and shared responsibility with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Is adept at using data to inform strategy, drive school improvement, and hold others to account compassionately and effectively.

If you are a highly-motivated and ambitious leader ready to commit to the vision of Hall Cross Academy, we encourage your application.
