General Roles and Responsibilities:

·        Work as part of a central team across a defined geographical area.

·        Maintain, improve, and preserve school buildings to support a stimulating learning environment.

·        Report to the Estates Manager and work across a group of schools.

·        Carry out a variety of maintenance tasks including:

o  General repairs

o  Painting and decorating

o  Carpentry

o  Installation of fixtures and fittings

o  Groundworks

·        Ensure school sites are safe, secure, well-maintained, and fit for purpose.

·        Liaise regularly with Site Managers and the Estates Manager.

·        Be a practical, hands-on tradesperson with experience in electrical, mechanical, or other trades.

·        Receive full training and opportunities to gain trade-specific qualifications.

·        Work collaboratively as part of a team with a strong sense of pride and high standards.

·        Focus on creating the best possible learning environment within limited resources.

·        Travel regularly between school sites.

·        Help shape the new maintenance service and implement best practices and compliance standards.
