St Thomas a Becket C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed and highly motivated Class Teacher to join their team. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils. As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that follow the school curriculum and meet the needs of all learners. They create high-quality learning resources, accurately assess pupil progress, and use assessment information to support achievement and development. The role requires adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs, including those of pupils with SEND, while maintaining high expectations for behaviour and academic success. The successful candidate will foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that promotes children's self-esteem, independence, and wellbeing. They will work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for pupils and contribute to the wider life of the school. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is a core responsibility, alongside maintaining effective behaviour management and ensuring a safe learning environment. The post holder will also contribute to school improvement, participate in professional development, and uphold the Trust’s values, policies, and standards of professional conduct.
