ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join our high performing and ambitious Maths department at Trinity Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher to inspire students, foster a love of mathematical thinking, and contribute to an academically rigorous culture within the Academy.


As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will play a key role in delivering a knowledge rich and intelligently sequenced Maths curriculum, ensuring students of all abilities have access to high quality mathematical education. You will help students develop confidence, resilience, and deep conceptual understanding, while promoting a learning environment where excellent progress and enjoyment go hand in hand.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver high quality Maths teaching across key stages, ensuring lessons are well structured, challenging, and grounded in strong subject expertise. 
  • Contribute to the refinement and implementation of a rigorous, knowledge rich Mathematics curriculum. 
  • Inspire students to engage with mathematical concepts, reasoning, and problem solving with curiosity and confidence. 
  • Support and prepare students for internal assessments, GCSE examinations, and further mathematical study. 
  • Promote wider engagement in Maths through enrichment activities, interventions, and extracurricular opportunities. 
  • Monitor student progress effectively, using assessment to inform planning and secure excellent outcomes. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to champion Mathematics within the wider school community.


THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE:

  • A strong academic background, ideally with a good honours degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline. 
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Mathematics and its application. 
  • The ability to deliver inspiring, well organised lessons that motivate and challenge students of all abilities. 
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with enthusiasm for contributing to a culture of high expectations and academic excellence. 
  • A commitment to raising achievement in Mathematics and ensuring all students make exceptional progress.
