Your Role

Barclay Academy is a thriving and ambitious school where students are encouraged to work hard, aim high and be respectful. We are a welcoming and inclusive community with the highest expectations of our students, supported by strong pastoral care, expert teaching and a calm, purposeful environment. Our staff are collaborative, reflective and determined to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our young people.

We seek to expand our team of invigilators and require people who are team players and are responsible, reliable, calm and flexible. You will work under the guidance of the Examination Officer to invigilate examinations in the main hall and also act as a sole invigilator in our smaller rooms. You will help set up examination rooms, supervise candidates, facilitate examination arrangements, process examination papers, follow examination regulations and be vigilant at all times.

Mocks are scheduled for November 2026 and February/March 2027. The exam season is scheduled to run between early May and the end of June 2027.

Candidates will need to be flexible to attend on a casual basis and have good availability during examination periods and will need to be available from 8am for morning exams and from 12.30pm for afternoon exams, some of which may not finish until 4pm or later.

If you think you have the skills, experience and attributes that we are looking for we would like to encourage you to apply and very much look forward to meeting you. This is a great opportunity to make a positive contribution to the lives of young people.

Barclay Academy is an incredible place to work, please do have a look at our recruitment pack for more information.
