ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a committed, caring, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join Trinity Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to play a key role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential within a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
In this role, you will work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff, and wider Academy team to provide targeted support for students with a range of additional needs. You will assist students both in and out of the classroom, adapting support strategies to meet individual learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs. You will help implement learning plans, encourage student independence, and promote engagement with the curriculum to ensure all students can participate fully in school life.
You will build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and external professionals, contributing to a collaborative approach that supports students’ academic progress, wellbeing, and personal development. You will also assist with the preparation of learning resources, monitor student progress, and support the effective delivery of interventions and classroom activities.
Through your patience, empathy, and commitment to inclusive education, you will make a meaningful difference to students' educational experiences, helping to create an environment where every student is valued and supported.
