Your Role

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspiring Head of Science / Aspiring Head of Science with a passion for the subject and a strong commitment to raising standards. This is an exciting opportunity for either an established middle leader ready to take full responsibility for the Science department, or an exceptional classroom practitioner with clear leadership potential who is ready to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, strong classroom practice and the ability to inspire both students and colleagues. Depending on the level of appointment, you will either lead the strategic development of the Science department or take on an appropriately scoped leadership remit, with support and development towards the full Head of Science role.

You will be committed to delivering an ambitious and engaging Science curriculum, improving outcomes for students and creating opportunities that develop curiosity, scientific thinking and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
