Your Role


We are looking to appoint as soon as possible a part time Cover Supervisor working 3 days per week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). The role of a Cover Supervisor is crucial in the support of teaching and learning at Jesmond Park Academy. In this role you will work under the guidance of teaching staff to supervise classes when teachers are absent You will also be expected to cover lessons in Student Support when needed. Appropriate work will be provided and you will ensure that students focus on the tasks set. You will also be expected to cover morning tutor time in the absence of the form tutor. Exam Invigilation is also part of the role and you may be assigned to a subject department to assist teachers generally. You will be flexible, willing to learn, and be able to form positive relationships in school. Training will be provided.
