Your Role

Gosforth Group is seeking an exceptional and experienced system leader to join our Executive Education Team as Senior Quality Improvement Officer. This is a key strategic role at the centre of our mission to ensure every child across our academies is supported to Achieve, Belong and Thrive.  

Working in close collaboration with Executive Heads, Principals and senior leaders across Gosforth Group academies, you will lead on curriculum development, safeguarding culture and quality assurance. You will provide expert support and challenge to ensure consistently strong provision, high‑quality teaching and excellent outcomes for all pupils, while ensuring that all schools are confidently inspection‑ready.  

You will also contribute to wider Trust development, including post‑16 provision and income generation through external partnerships, training and system leadership.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Champion Gosforth Group’s vision and values, promoting excellence, inclusion and equity across all academies.  
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Trust’s curriculum strategy, ensuring ambitious and coherent provision for all learners.  
  • Drive a strong, proactive safeguarding culture across the Trust, working closely with school leaders, Governors and partners.  
  • Contribute to Trust‑wide quality assurance and ensure all academies are prepared for inspection.  
  • Work alongside leaders and teachers to support innovative, high‑quality teaching and learning.  
  • Use data, research and professional expertise to identify priorities and secure sustained school improvement.  
  • Support the development of senior leadership capacity across the Trust.  
  • Contribute to the development of Gosforth Group Sixth Form, including academic and vocational pathways.  
  • Provide clear, impactful reporting to senior leaders, Trustees and Governors.  
  • Support Trust income generation through inspection, consultancy, training and partnership work.  

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You will be a highly credible senior leader with current Ofsted inspection experience and a strong track record of delivering sustained improvement across secondary education. You will bring deep curriculum expertise, strategic insight and the ability to lead change at scale.

This role requires regular travel across Gosforth Group academies and flexibility to support Trust priorities.
