Your Role

Gosforth Group is seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Trust Education Improvement Team as Quality Improvement Officer (KS2/3). This is a senior, strategic role at the heart of our mission to ensure every child across our academies is supported to Achieve, Belong and Thrive.  

The postholder will work in close partnership with leaders and teachers across Gosforth Group academies, providing trusted support, professional challenge and high‑quality assurance to secure consistently strong teaching, learning and outcomes across Key Stages 2 and 3. You will play a leading role in inspection readiness, curriculum development and transition, ensuring inclusive, ambitious provision for all learners.  

Key Responsibilities  

  • Champion Gosforth Group’s vision and values, promoting high expectations, inclusion and equity across all academies.  
  • Drive improvement in teaching, learning and outcomes across KS2 and KS3.  
  • Provide expert support and challenge to school leaders, modelling best practice and strengthening leadership capacity.  
  • Contribute to Trust‑wide quality assurance and ensure schools are confident, reflective and inspection‑ready.  
  • Support improved SATs outcomes and the continued development of a strong, coherent KS3 curriculum.  
  • Lead the Trust transition strategy, strengthening internal pathways and external partnerships, including enhanced transition for pupils with SEND.  
  • Use data, research and professional insight to identify barriers to improvement and secure sustainable change.  
  • Provide clear, impactful performance reporting to senior leaders, Trustees and Governors.

You will be a qualified teacher and senior leader with a proven track record of improving outcomes and leading meaningful change. You will bring strong professional credibility, deep curriculum knowledge and an up‑to‑date understanding of Ofsted and system improvement.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This role requires regular travel across Gosforth Group academies and flexibility to support Trust priorities.  

An enhanced DBS check and all safer recruitment checks are required.
