We are a vibrant, innovative and highly successful organisation: the place of choice to work and learn. Across the 5 academies of the GLC, we celebrate differences and pledge that everyone enjoys an equality of opportunity and is not discriminated against in any way.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in partnership with class teachers and our SENDCo to make a tangible difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs.
Your primary focus will be supporting the progress of identified individuals or small groups of pupils. You will work closely with teaching staff to implement planned learning activities, adjusting them to meet the unique needs of the pupils you serve.

- Holistic Care: Assisting with physical and self-care needs, including toileting and minor first aid.
- Communication: Developing professional relationships with parents and providing daily updates on pupil progress.
- Environment: Assisting with the set-up of indoor and outdoor learning spaces and creating engaging displays of pupil work.
We are looking for an individual who embodies the GLC values and is committed to promoting inclusion and acceptance. You should be:
- A champion for pupils facing barriers to learning in a mainstream setting.
- Skilled in modeling good practice in literacy, numeracy, and ICT.
- A collaborative team player capable of building positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.
- Proactive in your own professional development and training.
