Your Role

Join our Maths team and play a vital part in developing our students as confident, curious learners who see Maths not just as a subject, but as a powerful way of understanding the world. The role blends creativity with precision—finding thoughtful ways to bring abstract concepts to life, spark problem‑solving thinking, and help every student experience the satisfaction of “I get it now.”

About the team

You will be joining a friendly and supportive Maths team that values fresh ideas, encourages innovation, and gives you the space to develop your own practice. It’s a role where you are trusted to make a meaningful impact: building positive relationships, celebrating progress, and nurturing the resilience that students take forward into later learning and life.

About the school

Sir Christopher Hatton Academy is known for its warm, purposeful atmosphere, with staff describing the environment as supportive, productive and genuinely encouraging. The academy places real emphasis on bringing in people who care deeply about shaping opportunities for young people in Wellingborough, and this shared sense of purpose is clear in how colleagues speak about working together.

For someone who enjoys helping students grow in confidence with maths, it’s a school where you can settle in and feel part of a diverse, inclusive community. It’s a place where your work is noticed, your contribution matters, and the wider team is invested in helping you succeed.

About the Trust

Hatton Academies Trust is a family of schools committed to outstanding education and improving life chances for every child. Collaboration, integrity and ambition sit at the heart of the Trust’s culture, with a clear focus on inclusion, high expectations and consistent support for people across all academies.

Why join us?

The Trust offers support in wellbeing, career development and work–life balance. Here’s a snapshot of what you can expect:

  • Professional growth: Access to Steplab instructional coaching and personalised career‑pathway discussions to support your ongoing development.
  • Positive culture: Staff feedback highlights clear expectations, supportive leadership and flexibility that helps colleagues manage workload and maintain a positive working experience.
  • Work–life balance: Generous leave arrangements and flexible working where possible, recognising the importance of balancing personal and professional demands.
  • Wellbeing support: Employee assistance provision, mental health first aider networks, free eye tests for DSE users, and wellbeing forums.

Joining the Maths team at Sir Christopher Hatton Academy means becoming part of a community that values people, invests in their growth, and celebrates the impact great teaching has on young lives. It’s an environment where you can thrive professionally while contributing to something genuinely meaningful.
