We are looking for a Head of Business who enjoys managing people and building a positive, high trust culture. Your leadership will genuinely shape how staff feel, work and succeed.

The Business curriculum is known to be dynamic and evolves continually, ensuring students engage with current research, emerging economic trends and the rapidly changing business landscape.

 

About the Role

The successful candidate will combine excellent classroom practice with strong leadership, delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stages 4 and 5, while driving curriculum development and securing outstanding outcomes for students. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about their subject, committed to excellence and eager to further develop a dynamic and innovative department.

You will have an exciting opportunity to shape students’ understanding of enterprise, economics and entrepreneurship within a curriculum that reflects contemporary business practice and real-world developments, while leading colleagues to deliver consistently high standards of teaching and learning.


Key priorities for the role include:

·        Leading and developing the Business curriculum to ensure it remains ambitious, relevant and forward-thinking

·        Skilled people management; fostering collaboration and professional growth

·        Monitoring and evaluating departmental performance; using data to inform strategic improvement

·        Contributing to the wider leadership of the Academy as a middle leader
