About the Role
This role presents an exciting opportunity to nurture students’ creativity while fostering resilience, independence and critical thinking through a broad and engaging artistic experience.
Key priorities for the role include:
- Delivering engaging and ambitious lessons that inspire creativity and secure strong student progress
- Contributing to the continued development of a rich and contemporary Art curriculum
- Supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes at GCSE and A Level
- Promoting experimentation, individuality and artistic confidence in students
- Playing an active role in building student character and contributing to wider Academy life, including showcasing of student work and enrichment opportunities
- Working collaboratively within a high-performing and supportive department
About the Department
The curriculum is carefully designed to develop both technical mastery and personal expression, encouraging students to engage with a wide range of media, artists and cultural influences.

You will work closely with colleagues to share ideas, refine practice and create inspiring learning experiences. Sir Christopher Hatton Academy is an 11–18 mixed secondary school and Sixth Form, located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The Academy has a strong reputation for academic success and consistently achieves outcomes above national averages.
