Teaching Assistant

Victoria Primary Academy, Wellingborough, Northants

NJC Scale Point 3 to 4 (£25,614 to £26,016 FTE) (actual salary £18,426, to £18,715 per annum)

30 hours 50 mins per week, 39 weeks per year (term time + 5 days)


We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to provide support for pupils, teachers and the Academy in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils. The role is classroom based and the successful candidate will be expected to support across the primary phase.

  1. have a level 2 qualification in English & Maths
  2. have a level 2 qualification in a relevant subject, or demonstrable experience of working with or caring for children with special needs in a school setting
  3. are physically fit
  4. are flexible and responsive with the ability to address potentially challenging situations
  5. have a commitment to deliver first class support to staff and pupils
