Attendance and Administration Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a very positive and supportive office team. Jubilee is a happy and forward thinking school with the children at the very heart of all we do. This position is a pivotal part of the school team and we are looking for a person who can complement and enhance our team in order to change the lives of our wonderful pupils.
The Role:
The Attendance and Administration Officer will play a key role in monitoring and improving pupil attendance across the school and supporting general admin jobs in the school office. You will work closely with pupils, parents, and school staff to promote positive attendance and follow up on any concerns as well as providing efficient and effective admin support.
This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confident communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record and monitor daily pupil attendance
• Maintain accurate attendance records and databases
• Communicate with parents and carers regarding attendance
• Follow up on unexplained absences via phone calls, emails, letters and home visits
• Conduct home visits for absent pupils in line with our policy
• Work with pupils and families to encourage regular good attendance
• Support attendance improvement strategies and plans
• Ensure attendance procedures align with school policies
• Provide efficient office support
• Dealing with incoming correspondence including calls, post and e-mails in a professional
manner.
• Ensuring that all visitors are welcomed in a polite and professional manner, maintaining full
compliance with the Visitors/Contractors On-Site Checks.
• General administration duties, such as preparing letters, texts and handouts
• Hold a first aid certificate as required by the school.
