Your Role

Waddington All Saints Academy part of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and development, helping every child to reach their full potential.


Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom, both individually and in small groups
  • Assisting teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons
  • Helping to create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Promoting independence, confidence, and resilience in pupils
  • Assisting with classroom organisation and administrative tasks

  • Is patient, caring, and committed to inclusion
  • Has good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Works well as part of a team and shows initiative

Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English grade 4-9 (A-C) or equivalentessential
TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experiencedesirable

Skills

Abilities, Skills and Knowledge

ability to establish positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues essential
Developed communication skills, both orally and in writing essential
Knowledge of appropriate behaviour management practices
Proven experience of working with children and young people, including children with individual needs and from a range of backgrounds
An appreciation of the National Curriculum and how this is applied to planning, preparation and delivery of learning activities

Experience

Direct experience of working with pupils to raise attainment through personal intervention
