Your Role

Birley Spa Primary Academy, part of L.E.A.D. Academy Trust, is seeking a highly organised and professional Administrator Assistant to join our busy school office team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the academy, supporting staff, pupils, and parents.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and telephone enquiries
  • Providing high-quality administrative support to staff and leadership
  • Maintaining accurate records and data systems (SIMS/Arbor experience desirable)
  • Assisting with correspondence, reports, and communications
  • Supporting the wider team with tasks such as admissions, attendance, and safeguarding administration

  • Is approachable, professional, and committed to excellent customer service
  • Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Is confident using IT systems and willing to learn new software
  • Can manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team

Good qualifications in both English and Mathsessential

High level of oral and written communication skillsessential
Able to use all MS Office programs particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and be familiar with other bespoke databasesessential
Able to work to tight deadlines, managing and prioritising time effectivelyessential

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role essential
Experience of working in a school or academy trust environmentessential
