This role is ideal for someone who believes in the transformative power of education, has high expectations for all learners, and is committed to securing strong outcomes, particularly for disadvantaged pupils.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a skilled, reflective and forward-thinking English teacher who can positively influence others and contribute to subject leadership.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and a proven track record of securing progress in English
  • Have a clear understanding of curriculum intent, sequencing and assessment in English Language and Literature
  • Be able to support, coach and mentor colleagues, including ECTs and trainee teachers
  • Use assessment and performance data confidently to identify underachievement and support intervention planning
  • Have strong organisational and communication skills and contribute to clear systems within the department
  • Be committed to inclusion, equity and high expectations for all pupils, including SEND, EAL and disadvantaged learners
  • Share and model the Trust’s values of Lead, Empower, Achieve and Drive
