Your Role

About the Role

Join the Science team at The Birley Academy as a Science Technician and play a key role in supporting the delivery of engaging, practical science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Working closely with teaching staff, you will prepare resources and equipment, support GCSE required practicals, maintain laboratories and ensure the highest standards of health and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working behind the scenes to help students thrive in science.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual with a passion for science and education. You will have experience working in a laboratory, education or technical environment, a good understanding of laboratory safety and COSHH procedures, and strong organisational skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with colleagues, manage competing priorities and contribute positively to a busy and successful Science department.
