Eckington Junior School and Birkhill Infant and Nursery School are seeking a skilled, compassionate and motivated Learning Mentor to join our team in an exciting, multifaceted role working across both schools. The successful candidate will support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, lead targeted interventions and provide pastoral support, helping children develop the confidence, resilience and strategies they need to engage positively with learning and school life. The role will include working closely with pupils, families and staff to promote positive behaviour, strengthen relationships, support inclusion and ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed. The postholder will also play a key role in monitoring and supporting school attendance, working proactively with families to overcome barriers to regular attendance and improve outcomes for children. In addition, the successful applicant will undertake training to become a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), contributing to the safeguarding and welfare of pupils across both schools. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference to children's lives, building positive relationships and contributing to the continued development of two school communities.
