We wish to appoint two enthusiastic and hardworking Teaching Assistants to support SEND children on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidates will have a clear commitment to promoting the well-being of the children in our care and to raising standards.

St Margaret Clitherow’s Catholic Primary School is part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust (NPCAT), a family of 38 schools and 2 sixth forms from across the Diocese of Middlesbrough. With more than 12,300 pupils and 1,500 staff, the Trust is one of the North-East’s largest Catholic Trusts.


We are looking for a teaching assistant who:

  1. Will promote our friendly Catholic ethos, and will work as part of a committed team.
  2. Will be an excellent practitioner with high expectations for children in their care.
  3. Provide tailored support to a child in both classroom and individual settings.
  4. Work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to support pupil progress.
  5. Contribute towards creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  6. Support pupils with personal care and physical needs where required.
  7. Have the ability to form positive, professional and effective relationships with colleagues across school, other professionals and parents/carers.
  8. Will have a commitment to innovation, creativity and inclusion.
