Your Role

Birchwood Community High School is a thriving school at the heart of community life and continues to grow and flourish. We have an exciting opportunity for a SEND/Safeguarding Admin Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will work alongside a wider team of SEND and Safeguarding team whilst being based in the main school office. The successful candidate will need to be highly organised, hardworking, flexible and enjoy working in a busy school environment.

 

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Organise Annual Reviews, including liaising with staff to gather information
  • Update Pupil Passports as required by the SENDCo.
  • Prepare papers for the SENDCo as required.
  • Ensure statutory documentation is fulfilled and that referrals are sent

§ Oversee the medical side of safeguarding compliance.

§ Assist with care plans for medical conditions

§ Ensure Arbor and internal logs are completed for all student’s medical conditions/needs

§ Hold all prescribed medication for students, following school processes.

§ Liaise with staff to gather information for Personal Education Plans (PEPs).

§ Complete safeguarding risk assessments as needed under instruction from the DSL.
