We are seeking a highly organised, compassionate and proactive individual to join our Norfolk Centre as our SENCo Assistant and Office Manager. This is a varied and rewarding role, ideal for someone with strong administrative skills who is passionate about supporting young people and contributing to a small, dedicated team.
The Role
You will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the Centre, supporting the SENCo team in meeting students’ individual needs and managing daily administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities
As SENCo Assistant:
- Support the SENCo team in preparing and maintaining accurate SEN records and documentation.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students’ needs.
- Deliver interventions, monitor progress, and contribute to student reviews.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
As Office Manager:
- Act as the first point of contact for visitors, students, and families – ensuring a warm and professional welcome.
- Manage daily administrative tasks, correspondence, and resources.
- Manage and maintain Arbor MIS, updating student and timetable data as required.
- Maintain effective office systems and support the Headteacher and other members of the Senior Leadership Team with operational needs.
- Uphold safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality standards at all times.
As Exams Support Assistant:
- Support the Exams Officer with all aspects of internal and external examinations.
- Liaise with students, staff, and exam boards to manage entries, timetables, and results.
- Handle confidential exam data in line with GDPR and safeguarding standards.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is both highly efficient and deeply empathetic, able to balance administrative precision with sensitivity to the needs of our students.
Essential:
- Strong administrative and IT skills (expertise in Microsoft Office).
- Experience managing data and complex systems.
- Previous experience in an educational environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable:
- Exams experience or training.
- Knowledge of SEN processes and documentation.
- Understanding of adolescent development and trauma-informed practice.
- Teaching qualification (QTS) or similar experience.
