Your Role

As a Lead English Teacher in the Academy, you will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to develop their skills in reading, writing, and critical thinking. This position offers an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers who are passionate about teaching English across both Primary and Secondary age groups.

As a teacher within the Trust, you will also have the opportunity to reach out and be a mentor and a role model for pupils who need the guidance and support that your qualifications and experience will bring to the role. Classrooms and teachers are learning how to collaborate with our pupils to secure the very best outcomes they deserve by creating beautiful and important work that they can share with peers and their families.

If nothing makes you happier and more fulfilled than seeing pupils discover their passion, experience success in learning, or come to understand the importance of perseverance, you will bring a deep love of learning and pass that knowledge and passion onto our pupils every day. pupils with additional needs deserve to be treated the same as all other groups of pupils. They deserve to have the same opportunities and learn the things that their mainstream peers learn. Our specialist school is seeking a qualified teacher who cares about unique pupils, is keen to see them doing well, and who will push their limits to succeed.

Safeguarding Information

The Raleigh Education Trust (the “Trust”) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Creating a culture of safety and vigilance for our pupils is of paramount importance, we aim to:

(a) create and maintain a safe environment

(b) manage situations should child welfare concerns arise

(c) create an atmosphere of trust in which pupils feel confident to confide any concern

(d) help young people to understand the difference between acceptable and non - acceptable behaviour

(e) teach pupils to stay safe from harm

Pupils are taught about safeguarding, including E-safety as part of a broad and balanced curriculum. All staff within the Trust take welfare concerns seriously and encourage children and young people to talk about anything that worries them.
