Interested in career progression? Have you thought about becoming a teacher?

If you are considering a route into teaching, this is a perfect way to gain experience. With the appropriate qualifications, you could then go on to apply to train to teach with us. Once you have successfully completed this initial teacher training, you will be awarded qualified teacher status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

What makes RMAT different?

RMAT is more than just a collection of schools. We're a community dedicated to empowering students, academies, and colleagues to reach their full potential. We pride ourselves on being the kind of place people want to work – our academies are the kind of schools that teachers want to teach in.

We empower teachers with classroom autonomy, provide ongoing coaching for professional development, and value the contributions to student success made by all colleagues at RMAT. We combine classic educational values – excellent teaching, respect, good behaviour, and a strong curriculum – with a forward-thinking approach. We are a community that is constantly striving to learn, grow, and provide the best possible educational experience for all.

Our academies benefit from strong, supportive and compassionate leadership which creates a harmonious environment for staff and students alike. The RMAT community is a place where colleagues can develop their skills, find their own style and methods of teaching, learn and grow alongside their students, and feel that they are making a real difference to the lives of those they teach.

About Us

We are committed to doing things differently – creating academies that students want to attend and where teachers want to work. Our academies play a big part in their community whilst contributing to creating a wider community across the North of England with the other academies that make up the Trust.

Throwing horizons wide open for students and staff, the Resilience Multi Academy Trust’s core values make us truly unique. With a strong focus on resilience, growth mindset and positive discipline, the Resilience Ethos has helped to transform schools – from their culture to their Ofsted ratings – as well as the lives of students and teachers.

At the heart of our work is a concentration on delivering high academic standards that help young people become self-confident, develop a mastery of their chosen subjects and discover and achieve their aspirations.

All of this is guided by the Resilience Ethos – a traditional approach to behaviour management, innovative curriculum design and excellence in teaching that delivers the best possible outcomes
