The Featherstone Academy seeks to appoint an inspiring and ambitious teacher of Maths to join our very effective and dedicated team. The successful candidate will have an outstanding teaching ability, the skills to motivate and engage students, and a relentless ambition to enrich the lives and learning experiences of our young people.

We are proud to be part of Resilience Multi Academy Trust. Our ethos of resilience, empowerment and aspiration has helped to transform our schools as well as the lives of students and teachers. Our academies are a place where staff are supported to teach in the classroom through strategies which adhere to the principles of effective teaching. Colleagues learn and grow alongside our students and feel that they are making a real difference to the lives of those they teach. We believe that traditional values of discipline and respect are sacrosanct. We do not tolerate bullying, defiance or rudeness, and this has made for a harmonious and safe learning environment for our young people and a supportive environment for staff. Also, as a growing Multi-Academy Trust, there are always opportunities for career development and progression for ambitious and committed colleagues

The successful candidate will enjoy access to high quality CPD. You will also be joining a happy Trust where 95% of colleagues agreed that they enjoy working here and 92% would recommend us to a friend or colleague (taken from 2022 staff wellbeing survey). Our commitment to the Education Staff Wellbeing Charter means we prioritise staff mental health, drive down unnecessary workload and support our colleagues to progress in their careers.

Want to know more? We welcome you to come and visit the academy. Please contact Clare Thompson, PA to the Principal at cthompson@featherstone.academy to book a visit.
