Your Role

Rodillian Academy seeks to appoint an inspiring and ambitious teacher of Girls PE (0.8) to join our inclusive academy to cover a period of maternity leave for up to 12 months. The successful candidate will have an outstanding teaching ability, the skills to motivate and engage students, and a relentless ambition to enrich the lives and learning experiences of our young people.

Can you motivate students to achieve their best? Are you passionate about instilling a ‘Growth Mindset’ and nurturing students to see challenges as opportunities to flourish? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Rodillian Academy is part of Resilience Multi Academy Trust (RMAT), which also includes The Featherstone Academy, BBG Academy, Brayton Academy, Churwell Primary Academy and UTC Leeds.

RMAT has a reputation for high expectations for all, a pioneering curriculum and excellent colleague/student relationships. In return, the successful candidate will enjoy access to high-quality CPD at all levels and the chance to work in an organisation that does things differently. Our academies are a place where colleagues can develop their skills, find their own style and methods of teaching, learn and grow alongside their students, and feel that they are making a real difference to the lives of those they teach. Our Trust is committed to providing private school opportunities in a modern comprehensive environment. We believe that traditional values of discipline and respect are sacrosanct. We do not tolerate bullying, defiance or rudeness and this has made for harmonious and safe learning environments for our young people, and a supportive environment for colleagues.  Furthermore, our commitment to staff wellbeing means we prioritise staff mental health, drive down unnecessary workloads and support our colleagues to progress in their careers.

If you want to work in an environment where you can develop your skills, have the freedom to use your own style and methods of teaching and use an innovative Resilience Curriculum to challenge students to be the most resilient learners that they can be, apply to join us today.

Prospective candidates are welcome to contact the Academy via Rebecca Farthing, PA to the Principal, rfarthing@rodillianacademy.co.ukto arrange a tour of the Academy.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff, volunteers, visitors and contractors to share this commitment. Shortlisted applicants will undergo relevant checks in line with statutory guidance and all appointees will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

About Us

We are committed to doing things differently – creating academies that students want to attend and where teachers want to work. Our academies play a big part in their community whilst contributing to creating a wider community across the North of England with the other academies that make up the Trust.

Throwing horizons wide open for students and staff, the Resilience Multi Academy Trust’s core values make us truly unique. With a strong focus on resilience, growth mindset and positive discipline, the Resilience Ethos has helped to transform schools – from their culture to their Ofsted ratings – as well as the lives of students and teachers.

At the heart of our work is a concentration on delivering high academic standards that help young people become self-confident, develop a mastery of their chosen subjects and discover and achieve their aspirations.

All of this is guided by the Resilience Ethos – a traditional approach to behaviour management, innovative curriculum design and excellence in teaching that delivers the best possible outcomes
