Your Role

Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and achieve success?

Educational Diversity is seeking a dedicated, resilient and compassionate Specialist Support Assistant to join our exceptional team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with some of Blackpool's most vulnerable and hard-to-reach children and young people, supporting them to re-engage with education, build confidence and develop the skills they need to thrive.

Educational Diversity is an Alternative Provision Academy for pupils aged 6-16 who are unable to access mainstream education. Our students may have emotional, behavioural, social and/or medical needs, and we pride ourselves on creating a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where every child feels valued, supported and capable of success.

As a Specialist Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop positive relationships and make meaningful progress both academically and personally. Working closely with teaching staff, families and external agencies, you will provide tailored support that enables young people to flourish and reach their full potential.

We are looking for someone who is patient, adaptable and committed to making a lasting difference. Experience of supporting children and young people with additional needs is essential, alongside the ability to build strong, trusting relationships and maintain high expectations.

In return, we offer a welcoming and supportive school community, opportunities for professional development, excellent wellbeing support and the chance to be part of a passionate team that truly changes lives.

If you believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and flourish, we would love to hear from you.
