Holy Family Catholic Academy is seeking an exceptional, ambitious and practising Catholic leader to join our dedicated team as Deputy Headteacher.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced senior leader to help shape the next chapter of our school's journey, working alongside the Headteacher to provide outstanding leadership, drive school improvement and ensure every child flourishes academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally.

About the Role
As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a pivotal strategic leadership role across the academy, supporting the Headteacher in delivering an ambitious vision for excellence. You will lead on curriculum development, quality of education, safeguarding and school improvement, while inspiring staff and pupils to achieve their very best.
The successful candidate will:
- Support the Headteacher in providing strategic leadership and operational management to secure outstanding outcomes for all pupils.
- Lead the development of an ambitious, inclusive and knowledge-rich curriculum that enables all pupils to flourish.
- Drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning and pupil achievement through effective monitoring, evaluation and professional development.
- Serve as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the welfare, wellbeing and safety of all pupils remain paramount.
- Deputise for the Headteacher when required, ensuring effective day-to-day leadership and management of the academy.
- Lead, motivate and develop staff, fostering a positive, collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Use evidence-informed practice and data analysis to raise standards and close attainment gaps.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, governors, parish communities, Trust colleagues and the wider community.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Is a practising Catholic with a strong commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has a successful track record of leadership within a primary school setting.
- Has proven experience of raising standards and driving school improvement.
- Can demonstrate a positive impact on teaching, learning, behaviour and pupil outcomes.
- Has experience of leading whole-school initiatives and empowering staff to excel.
- Possesses a deep understanding of curriculum design, assessment and effective teaching and learning.
- Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
- Is an inspirational communicator with the ability to motivate, influence and develop others.
- Has the vision, resilience and determination to help every child achieve their God-given potential.
