Careers Leader and Library Manager at Warden Park Academy

Permanent post, required from September 2026


30 hours per week term time only plus two weeks

Grade:  I21-I23 £35,412 - £37,280 fte (actual starting salary £25,329.80 - £26,665.96)


Warden Park Academy are seeking an inspiring and highly organised professional to take on the role of Careers Leader and Library Manager.


The Careers Leader and Library Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, and delivery of a comprehensive careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) programme across all year groups, as well as the management and operation of the school library and its resources.

Experience in coordinating major programmes and events, such as Work Experience (WEX), Careers Week, Post-16 transition, and school trips.essential
Experience in resource procurement and managementessential
Experience in administration, including collecting data using Google forms, dealing with external requests, and updating digital platformsessential
Proven experience in the strategic planning, coordination, and delivery of a comprehensive careers education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) programme.
Experience conducting 1:1 guidance interviews

Personal Attributes

Excellent organisational skills to manage a full calendar of activities and coordinate events involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with students, parents/carers, external providers, and school staff essential
Competence in using administrative software and digital platforms necessary for CEIAG delivery and data management.essential

Qualifications

Level 6 careers guidance qualification.
Potential asset: Minibus driver qualification.
Potential asset: Current First Aid certification.
