Support Worker (supporting pupil(s) with specific medical needs)

20  hours per week term time only

Woodgate  Primary School  is committed to providing the highest quality learning for all children.  We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and enthusiastic Support Worker to support pupils with specific medical needs. 


The purpose of this role is to work autonomously, in line with school policies and health care plans, to provide person centered support to any pupil with physical disabilities and additional health needs in order to promote independence, self- esteem, social inclusion.  Working closely with teachers and teaching assistants you will also facilitate the pupil(s) accessing the curriculum, taking part in learning and experiencing a sense of achievement.  This may include supporting a small number of pupils or working on a 1:1 basis with a specific pupil (subject to their levels of need).  Training on health care needs will be provided by a registered nurse.
