Star Club After School Assistant 

Start date: September 2026

Salary: SLT support grade C3 £24,796 FTE (Actual starting salary £5,183.37 based on 9.25 hours per week)


Warden Park Primary Academy is committed to providing high quality child care for all children who attend Star Club (before and after school provision) and wishes to appoint an After School Club Assistant.


The hours available for this post are 9.25 hours across three days between the hours of 2:45pm and 6:15pm.


The successful candidate will: 

  • Have experience of delivering imaginative and innovative activities to children;
  • Be expected to ensure the provision offers a safe and stimulating play environment;
  • Assist in the administration of the club, keeping relevant records and ensuring that the agreed club procedures are implemented;
  • Prepare and serve meals;
  • Supervise mealtimes;
  • Ensure the safe collection and transportation of children between their classrooms and the club;
  • Ensure that areas are clean and cleared at the end of sessions;
  • Communicate and liaise with parents;
  • Have a passion and motivation for improving the lives of all children;
  • Have an optimistic attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job;
  • Demonstrate versatility, tact, commitment and the ability to use initiative;
  • Be patient and able to stay calm and listen and value children’s views;
  • Be able to work as part of a team and be expected to contribute to its development;
  • Have the ability to strictly maintain confidentiality;
  • Have experience with some behaviour management techniques.
