Your Role

Are you a passionate teacher who believes learning should be exciting, inclusive and meaningful? Do you believe every child deserves to be understood, supported and empowered to succeed – no matter their starting point? If so, we would love to hear from you. We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teacher who is ready to progress into a wider leader role, to join our outstanding teaching team.

Dove House is a popular, successful, and highly regarded school in Basingstoke, for students with severe learning difficulties and autism, aged between 11-19. We are proud to be an ‘Outstanding’ school but retain our passion to keep moving forward.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate teacher, skilled in Primary and/or Secondary teaching, who understand the unique challenges and incredible strength of children with diverse learning needs. You will lead on pupil progress with responsibility for Maths, Science and IT. You will develop and deliver tailored curriculum plans that inspire engagement and progress, working closely with a team of skilled professionals. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a setting where small steps are celebrated, individuality is valued, and relationships come first.

We welcome applications from mainstream primary and secondary colleagues as well as those already working in the specialist sector, including MLD, SLD and SEMH.

At Solent Academies Trust, we are proud to be a community built on connection, respect, and belonging.

Our Relational Culture Charter guides us to work together and support each other through:

  1. Valuing Difference
  2. Effective Communication
  3. High Challenge & High Support to Empower
  4. Respect for All
  5. Solution-Focused Approaches

We will provide you with superb resources, excellent staff induction, and training. A commitment to continuing professional development, as well as opportunities for career progressions within a happy and supportive community.
