Your Role

The Arthur Terry School have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Headteacher, to join the Senior Leadership Team in our successful, oversubscribed school. This is a special opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious leader to build on our strong foundations of behaviour, culture and personal development.

 

As Assistant Headteacher you will

Share in the strategic leadership of the school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team

Strategically lead behavioural curriculum, personal development and attendance

Motivate, coach and develop staff to ensure consistency and high standards of behaviour

Monitor data, identify trends and work with relevant team to intervene early and ensure excellent student outcomes

Be visible and lead a culture of “all of us, all the time”

 

What you’ll need to succeed

Be an experienced and excellent classroom practitioner and hold QTS

Sky high expectations of student achievement

Positive mindset with the energy and enthusiasm to inspire others

Ability to build positive relationships with staff, students and parents/carers

Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills

An excellent knowledge and understanding of world-class behaviour and culture

To promote and embody the ‘Arthur Terry’ ethos of ‘be proud, be kind, be ready’ and ensure children are at the heart of everything we do
