Your Role

Stockland Green School are currently seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and proactive Pastoral Leader to join our committed team. This is a pivotal role focused on supporting the wellbeing, behaviour, and personal development of our students, ensuring every individual is able to thrive both academically and personally. As a Pastoral Leader, you will play a key role in promoting a positive school culture, removing barriers to learning, and working closely with students, families, and staff to deliver outstanding pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the pastoral support for a designated house

Monitor and support student behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing

Build strong relationships with students to promote engagement and achievement

Work collaboratively with teaching staff, safeguarding teams, and external agencies

Develop and implement strategies to support vulnerable and at-risk students

Communicate effectively with parents/carers to ensure a joined-up approach

Contribute to safeguarding, inclusion, and student support initiatives across the academy

Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach

The ability to manage challenging situations confidently and professionally

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
