The Arthur Terry School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, proactive, and highly organised Attendance Officer to join our committed pastoral team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting student success and wellbeing through excellent attendance and engagement. We are looking for an Attendance Officer who:
- Has a strong commitment to improving student attendance and educational outcomes
- Builds positive relationships with students, families, and external agencies to support regular school attendance
- Monitors, analyses, and reports on attendance data accurately and effectively
- Works proactively to identify and address barriers to attendance
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Works collaboratively with pastoral, safeguarding, and leadership teams to support student success
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience of working in a school, education, or customer-focused environment
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Confidence in using management information systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and colleagues
- The ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- A proactive and resilient approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
