Your Role

The Royal Sutton School is looking to appoint a highly organised, friendly and professional Administration Assistant to provide dedicated administrative support for our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision.

This is an important role within the school, supporting the effective coordination and administration of SEND processes and helping to ensure that pupils, families and staff receive a responsive and well-organised service.

We are looking for someone who is organised, approachable and able to work with accuracy and discretion, particularly when handling confidential and sensitive information. You will need excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment.

The role

As our SEND Admin Assistant, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the school's SEND team. This will include maintaining accurate pupil records, coordinating SEND documentation and meetings, preparing paperwork, updating systems and supporting communication with parents, carers and external professionals.

You will work closely with colleagues across the school to ensure that SEND administration is completed efficiently, accurately and within required timescales.

We are looking for someone who:

  1. Has experience of working in an administrative role, ideally within an education or SEND setting
  2. Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  3. Can manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  4. Has strong written and verbal communication skills
  5. Is confident using IT and a range of administrative systems
  6. Can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  7. Is approachable, patient and able to communicate effectively with pupils, families and colleagues
  8. Works well as part of a team while also being able to use their own initiative
  9. Has a genuine interest in supporting children and young people with SEND

We offer

  1. A supportive and collaborative working environment
  2. Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  3. Access to high-quality CPD and training
  4. An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and employee benefits package.
  5. A competitive pension scheme through the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
  6. Professional development and wellbeing days
