We are a 3-16 all age fully inclusive Academy. Our school has been on a fantastic journey over the last 18 months, and we are incredibly proud of our amazing staff and pupils. WE ARE SEEKING A PASSIONATE CANDIDATE WHO:
- Will work with the Science, Maths and Technology departments to promote a love of learning across STEM subjects.
- Can plan and teach fantastic lessons that promote a love of science from KS3 to KS4.
- Wants to develop, in collaboration with the Science department, a curriculum that inspires a love of Science from Year 7 through to Year 11.
- Can design, implement and manage an academy STEM programme.
- Will contribute to the whole school development plan with a remit of improving outcomes and engagement in STEM subjects, with a particular lens on science.
- Can communicate effectively with parents around STEM, opportunities both within the academy and outside with a view to driving STEM engagement.
- Will plan and lead on educational visits for pupils of all abilities to experience opportunities in STEM across a range of fields.
- Will work with the academy CEAIG officer to ensure that pupils are kept informed of developments in the STEM field.
YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:
In collaboration with, and under the remit of the Head of Science, to co-ordinate and promote STEM across not only the science curriculum but across the academy. Whilst the role is a secondary position, there will be opportunities to work with our primary pupils to promote a love of STEM as part of our enhanced transition programme.
