At St Catherine’s, lunchtime is one of the best parts of the day and we’re looking for someone to help make it brilliant.

Ours is a school full of happy chatter, busy classrooms and friendships that matter. Our children love to learn, but some of the most important moments happen outside the classroom. A game of tag that brings a new child into the group. A quiet word that turns a wobbly morning around. A brave first try of something new on the dinner plate.

As a School Meals Supervisory Assistant, you’ll be right at the heart of those moments. You’ll keep our children safe, happy and cared for, encourage good manners and kind friendships and send them back to class refreshed and ready to learn.

St Catherine’s is a place of laughter, wonder and lasting memories. It’s a family where, together, we flourish. Come and be part of it!

WE ARE SEEKING A PASSIONATE CANDIDATE WHO:

  1. Is a great team player, friendly and professional.
  2. Is warm, patient and calm, with a ready smile
  3. Genuinely enjoys children’s company and has a good sense of fun
  4. Confident to step in, sort out a squabble and keep everyone safe
  5. Has a conscientious and diligent work ethic.
  6. Has high standards and takes pride in delivering a quality service

YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:

To ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the midday break period. This includes all children on the school premises except those engaged in activities supervised by a teacher. To ensure a pleasant, relaxed, safe but efficient lunch experience for pupils.

IN RETURN, WE OFFER:

  1. Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Access to National College training, subject-specific CPD, leadership pathways, and mentoring programs.
  2. Career Progression: Clear pathways for growth, from early careers to leadership roles. We use a ‘touchbase’ informal approach to focus on professional development as well as an annual career conversation with your manage
  3. Wellbeing & Support: Leadership training focused on wellbeing, mental health resources, and staff networks.
  4. Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI): Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace, with ongoing EDI training and initiatives.
  5. Generous annual leave entitlement of 25 days for all year-round support staff. This increases to 28 days after 5 years
  6. A paid premium to a Healthcare Cash Plan to claim back contributions towards dental, optical and other medical costs via UK Healthcare.
  7. 24/7 access to an Employee Assistance Programme.
  8. Amazing benefits and discounts via UK Healthcare.
