The Canterbury Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor / Teacher who will make a positive impact to our students’ learning.

Main Responsibilities include:

  1. To undertake whole class supervision in the absence of the class teacher, setting work previously prepared by the teacher.
  2. To develop curricular knowledge as required by the Academy.
  3. To apply the Academy’s Behaviour Management Policy and report and difficulties to the supervising teacher / DoTL.
  4. To set homework previously prepared by the teacher.

We are ideally seeking strong candidates with a high level of initiative and strong classroom management skills. You will be an enthusiastic individual who is able to use your own initiative whilst also being able to relate well and establish a rapport with young people. You will need to be flexible and able to work constructively as a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities. You may also be required to participate in development and training opportunities as and when they arise.

This will be a permanent full-time position + 5 Development days position.
