Blackpool Sixth is a first class college specialising in 16-19 education and we have an exciting opportunity for an Estates Manager to join our team.

Our Estates team is at the heart of college life. They keep the buildings, grounds, and services running smoothly, tackle challenges head-on, and take pride in delivering excellent, professional support to everyone on campus. Friendly, collaborative, and solutions-focused, our Estates team thrives on teamwork, initiative, and innovative thinking.


Core hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am -4.30pm, however, flexibility in the hours worked will be expected, this could include some work in the evenings and at weekends.


A day in the life of an Estates Manager could see you:

  • Leading and inspiring the Estates team to keep the campus safe, secure, and sparkling
  • Partnering with leadership to shape strategy and drive improvement
  • Acting as the College Health & Safety Lead, keeping everyone safe and sound
  • Managing budgets, service contracts, inspections, and compliance checks
  • Liaising with contractors and agencies to keep the campus in tip-top shape
  • Supporting redevelopment projects alongside the Trust Estates Lead
  • Ensuring day-to-day operations, from security to cleaning, run without a hitch
  • Being a role model, empowering colleagues, and living our core values

Understanding of legislation relevant to premises management including fire assessment.
