Fixed term contract (until July 2026 ) - Term Time only plus 1 week to include INSET

If you answered yes to any of the above, then Lytham St Annes High School is seeking a Science Technician to support our Science Department until July 2026, covering a period of absence.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Technician to join our well‑resourced, forward‑thinking faculty.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about science and eager to help deliver exciting, high‑quality learning experiences for our students.


A day in your role could see you:

  • Preparing resources for practical science lessons that meet health and safety standards and the needs of the classes involved.
  • Supporting teachers and pupils by the provision of all aspects of technical support including maintenance of laboratory facilities, equipment, consumable stock and records.
  • Assisting the teachers with scientific demonstrations.
  • Completing any other tasks reasonably requested by the management of the school.
