Marketing and Liaison Officer

Are you bursting with ideas for creating and delivering engaging educational activities and presentations for secondary-age children. Blackpool Sixth is a first-class college specialising in 16-19 education and we are on the lookout for a dynamic people-person to join our Admissions, Liaison and Marketing team as our new Marketing and Liaison Officer. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to play a vital role as the link between Blackpool Sixth and our local high schools, while helping students feel confident and excited about taking their next big step into college life.


As a Marketing and Liaison Officer, you will be delivering workshops and presentations, organising and running key events such as careers evenings as well as conducting student interviews. 


This post is full time, staff term time only plus 10 additional days working 36.25 hours per week, generally Monday to Friday 08:30am-4:30pm but with some flexibility in the hours worked expected, including some work in the evenings and at weekends.

Qualifications

Good level 3 (A-level or equivalent) qualifications and good GCSEs (including Maths and English to a minimum of grade 4/C)desirable
A driving licence and access to your own vehicle desirable

Experience

Proving you have at least 1 year’s relevant experience (e.g. in customer care, working with young people)essential
Showing your organisational and event management skillsessential

Relevant experience of working in the educational sector and knowledge of the post-16 education market
Experience in using social media for promotional purposes
Experience of using professional graphic design software to create adverts, posters, newsletters and similar publications.

Experience of digital photography and editing
