Your Role

Community Lettings Operative

Casual hours by agreement | Evenings and weekends | Foundation Living Wage currently £13.45 per hour

Are you reliable, customer-focused and comfortable working independently? Do you take pride in making sure facilities are safe, welcoming and ready for people to use? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a dependable and committed Community Lettings Operative to provide additional capacity within our Community Lettings team, including cover for annual leave and sickness absence.

Working with the Community Lettings Manager, you will provide a high-quality service to external customers using our sports facilities, ensuring bookings are set up on time, facilities are clean and ready for use, and school buildings are left secure at the end of the shift.

A day in your role could see you:

• Setting up facilities safely and on time so they are ready for customer bookings.

• Using the online booking system as required.

• Ensuring facilities, changing rooms and corridors are clean and ready for school use the following day.

• Reporting health and safety issues or concerns promptly and following the appropriate procedures.

• Locking school buildings securely at the end of a shift in accordance with site security protocols.

• Working flexibly in response to bookings, cancellations and the operational needs of the school.

What we're looking for

You'll be reliable, organised and committed to providing a high standard of customer service. You'll be able to work independently, communicate positively with customers and colleagues, and make sure facilities are set up safely and on time.

You'll understand the importance of following health and safety, safeguarding and site security procedures. You'll also be willing to use our online booking system and work flexibly across evening and weekend shifts according to operational need.

Previous experience in community lettings, leisure, sports facilities, caretaking or another customer-facing environment would be helpful, as would experience of cleaning, facility set-up or site security responsibilities, but these are not essential as full training for the role will be given.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone dependable who takes pride in providing a welcoming service, maintaining clean and safe facilities and ensuring the school site is secure.

If you're positive, reliable and enjoy providing a great service to customers, we'd love to hear from you.
