At Blackpool Sixth, we specialise in 16-19 education, creating a vibrant, first-class environment where students truly thrive. To ensure everything operates seamlessly, we are looking for friendly, reliable Examination Invigilators to join us on a casual basis.
Working alongside our Examinations Officers, you’ll be vital in creating a calm, fair, and secure space where students can perform at their very best. No previous invigilation experience? No problem! Full training is provided. You’ll be joining a warm, collaborative team that takes pride in supporting our students every step of the way.
A day in your new role could see you:-
- Setting the stage: helping to prepare exam rooms, displaying seating plans, and writing key details on the board so students feel ready and relaxed.
- Welcoming candidates:greeting students with a friendly face and helping them find their seats swiftly.
- Keeping things fair: ensuring everyone follows exam guidelines regarding phones, bags, and quiet conduct.
- Managing the paper trail: distributing exam papers according to JCQ and awarding body regulations and securely collecting answer scripts at the end.
- Providing quiet support: supervising the room unobtrusively, stepping in when a student raises a hand, or escort candidates taking quick breaks.
