Your Role

The Dean Trust is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Resourced Provision Teacher to join our dedicated team at Abraham Moss Community School, Crescent Road, Crumpsall, Manchester, M8 5UF.

The core purpose of the role will be to work in partnership with the SENCo and Inclusion Lead to provide guidance and support on effective teaching and learning strategies for pupils with Autism and social communication needs and liaise closely with class teachers to ensure the needs of all Resourced Provision pupils are met, and that there is effective communication regarding pupils’ academic progress between teaching staff and the Resourced Provision team.

Key responsibilities:

  • To plan and implement appropriate individual learning programmes for Resourced Provision/Hive pupils through assessment and target setting.
  • To support the SENCO and Inclusion Lead to involve pupils and their parents/carers in decisions about their learning and teaching outcomes, behaviour and attendance.
  • To maintain records, assessments and other relevant documentation related to the progress and attainment of pupils in the Resourced Provision.
  • To produce reports for the purpose of multi-agency assessments, annual reviews and end of year reports.
  • To act upon advice from multi agencies and communicate this to relevant staff.
  • To work with the SENCO and Inclusion Lead in coordinating effective transition of pupils coming into school, across key stages and into the next phase of their education.
  • To work with the SENCO and Inclusion Lead to coordinate and lead target-setting, annual reviews and planning meetings.
  • To plan with teachers/faculty leaders/heads of year for the inclusion of pupils from the Resourced Provision in mainstream lessons.
  • To ensure the effective delivery of therapeutic programmes such as Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
  • Oversee and coordinate applications to the Social Communication Pathway, ensuring processes are managed effectively and in line with agreed procedures
