Your Role


We are looking for an warm, caring enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the Nursery Practitioner.


 The role will require you to:

  • provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the setting. 
  • work as part of a team, alongside the EYFS teacher, in order to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn. 
  • build and maintain strong partnership working with parents to enable children’s needs to be met
  • You will be required to work with children aged 2 years old

Qualifications

NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in relevant disciplinedesirable

Able to interact positively with a group of children or on a one-to-one basisessential
Aware of the expectation to approach difference positively and able to adopt an inclusive approach to pupils of all backgroundsessential
Able to use ICT equipment e.g. iPads, Chromebooksessential
Able to build effective working relationships with pupils and adultsessential
Good literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to at least level 2 of the National Qualifications Frameworkessential
Able to promote inclusion of all pupilsessential
Awareness of school policies and procedures relating to Child Protection, Health & Safety and Data Protection
Able to undertake structured and agreed learning activities, adjusting activities according to pupil's responses as well as working on own initiative
Good knowledge of the primary national curriculum
Able to manage children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and to be able to work effectively with them.

Experience

Experience of working with children/young peopleessential
Experience of working in a school or educational settingessential
Experience of working with children/young people with SEND
Experience of planning and delivering learning activities
